Circuit information

The Gran Premio D'Italia is held in Mugello, approximately 35km north-east of Florence in Italy. The Mugello circuit was originally a road track on which the first race was held in 1914. The current 5.2 km long circuit runs over 5km through the forests and green areas. The elevated areas along the track permit the spectators to take part fully in the race. The track is in operation during the year, and it is the regular test centre of the F1 team of Ferrari, and other important manufacturers of MotoGP and World Superbike.

The 5.2 kilometer long circuit has a 600 meters long starting straight and 15 turns of which 8 are right hand corners and 7 left-handers. The combination of fast corners lead one into the next, making overtaking difficult while the straight sees high speeds in excess of 330km/h.

Due to ongoing developments the Mugello circuit guarantees the maximum safety for drivers and spectators alike, thanks to its wide run-off areas in the most demanding corners of the track and its service road for the rescue all along the 5.245 m.
