Circuit information

The Gran Premi Cinzano de Catalunya is held in Montmelo, just outside Barcelona, Spain. The circuit was built in 1991 and has been part of the Formula One grand prix series ever since. The 4.7 kilometers long circuit is one of the best designed tracks of the recent era with 8 left-hand and 5 right-hand turns.

The circuit is part of the very few circuits where testings are hosted, therefore both the drivers and mechanics are quite familiar with every inch of the track.  Interestingly, the MotoGP machines clock higher top speeds on the long pit straight than the F1 cars, which are heavily encumbered by the enormous downforce created by their wings and bodywork.

Barcelona, being one of the greatest cultural cities of Europe, is another reason why the event is normally sold out well in advance of the Grand Prix.  Buy your MotoGP tickets for the Catalunya (Barcelona) Grand Prix online with us.
