Beautiful city, full of life. Very welcoming. Safe. Many good restaurants, delicious gelato. Breath taking art and history. We ate at La giostra, Trattoria zazz, violin, venchi and many others. The churches here are stunning--but you MUST reserve tours in advance or else you won't be able to go inside. The city is packed with literature and art history. There are tons of markets, churches, museums, castles, stores, and nature to keep tourists busy. We had some of our best food in Italy in Florence. The river is beautiful. The architecture in the city's center was so charming, and there were lots of musicians.
