Although known for the Nuremberg Trials, this Bavarian city has a stunning medieval core of cobbled streets and half-timbered buildings that wouldn’t look out of place in a fairy tale. Sitting above this is the castle, one of the most important in the Holy Roman Empire. Take the steep walk up here for fantastic old town views.
Hauptmarkt square in the old town is home to an unusual-looking church and a Gothic fountain, spectacularly lit during the annual Nuremberg Christmas markets. Selling everything from wooden toys to lebkuchen (gingerbread), these are widely considered the best Christmas markets in Germany.
Other attractions in Nuremberg (Nürnberg in German) include the Germanisches Nationalmuseum, the country’s largest museum of culture and art. Another highlight is the Heilig-Geist-Spital, a medieval hospital by the Pegnitz River.
A word must also be said about its relationship with Nazism. On the south-east corner are the immense Nazi Rally Grounds and Party Congress Hall, built in appropriately domineering fashion. The excellent Documentation Center here is a sensitive and unbiased portrayal of life under Hitler. It is also possible to visit the courtroom where the war trials were held.
Before leaving your Booking.com apartment, hotel or hostel to go to Nuremberg Airport, don’t forget to try the spicy local sausage!

A very beautiful city with excellent options for everyone: long walks in the parks or on the river banks and beautiful bridges; historic sites, castle and interesting museums; beautiful streets and wonderful traditional houses; monuments and statues; nice shopping streets with low and high end shops and brands; lively restaurants and terraces with great food options. It really has everything you could want for a great holiday . Do not miss the castle, Dürer house, Germanisches nationalmuseum, Fembohaus. As well, take the train to Bamberg, a real jewel city, just 40 minutes away.

The Documentation Center at the Nazi parade grounds is a must see. Very well done and manageable. Only takes 30 mins to an hour. The Palace of Justice wasn't open when we were there. Would have liked to see that.

Nuremberg is a fantastic city with museums, churches and history. The Old town of Nuremberg is it´s heart and soul. An excellent place to walk and explore with fantastic shopping opportunities for all people. Nuremberg also has great restaurants. I also love Konigstrasse with all the boutique shops and vegtable market stalls selling fresh fruits and vegetables. Don´t miss the bratwurst restaurants near to the Tourist office at the end of Königstrasse.

I went to Nuremberg to research the National Archives.
I went to Nuremberg to research the National Archives. This went well leaving time to accompany my wife doing some tourism. The city is delightful and the people are very friendly. The only tourists we saw were of the more intellgent selective type. The town has much of its mediaeval buildings with very careful rebuilding in the 1950's. We ate very well in several restaurants. Fantastic street markets and museums. The Castle (Burg) is well worth a visit as is the National Museum.

I'd been to Nuremberg for attending BIOFACH.
I'd been to Nuremberg for attending BIOFACH. I stayed an extra three days to see around and I believe, with a guided tour I would have covered some more interesting places.
You can have own tour of the old city by walking and couple of days guided tours will take most important and historical places.
Most of the restaurants are open till 10.0pm and at railway station McDonald is 24 hours (as someone told) . Please check, if you are a late eater.
Location (walking) - excellent! This location was near the main shopping street and we walked to the Imperial Castle and everywhere in Old Town. Such a great and accessible location!
Service - Our family of 3 had the suite and the manager was kind to offer us the extra bed. Appreciated the wireless charger in the room. Despite being in an old-looking building, the room feels renovated and new.
Breakfast - one of the most sumptuous breakfast spread we have had, comparable to the big hotels.
It was my first time at this hotel. I’ve stayed numerous times at the SORAT Hotel Saxx Nürnberg. Both are in the Sorat Family of hotels which I like very much. Consistent comfort, cleanliness and service is provided.
I really liked the breakfast buffet. It was obvious that the buffet team and especially its leader really enjoy their work and the customers. They took pride in the food and service.
(I stayed two separate times here during my May 2022 Germany vacation.)
It was nice to be in a hotel with more modern amenities and a larger room than we had the previous few nights. The breakfast and food in the restaurant were very good and reasonably priced. The staff were friendly and helpful. While not within easy walking distance to the old town of Nuremberg, the subway is literally right out the door and it is a short trip. The neighborhood of the hotel was quiet and nice. If you have a car, parking is free and easy.
Everything was perfect! The apartment smelled and looked brand new. Lobby was clean and cozy, very comfortable check in & check out system. The room had amazing noise isolation and useful ventilation system. Shower was modern with pleasant lotions and other toiletries. The hotel is 5 minutes away from the beautiful old town, there is a bunch parking options to choose from! Next time visiting Nürnberg for sure we’ll be returning.
The hotel is located in a quiet area, within walking distance (about 7-10 minutes) from the old town. The neighbourhood is pleasant, with shops around, including a LIDL supermarket 100 m from the hotel. The hotel has an elevator, which was very useful. The room was big enough and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is a very good choice for staying in Nürnberg.
Spacious room and bathroom - a great surprise! We were travelling around visiting the Christmas markets so we had 2 bags each - and there was lots of room. The location is fantastic right next to the main train station, so very easy to get to and right across from the old town. It was the perfect hotel to explore the Christmas markets! Staff were helpful as well.
The convenience of this hotel cannot be beat. We turned in our rental car, walked to the hotel for the night and walked directly across the street to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable with no outside noise. My very favorite part about this hotel was the breakfast. It was a wonderful last meal in Germany. We will definitely stay here again.
We have stayed in a few Adina Aparthotels in Germany and this one is our favorite. The staff at the reception was very helpful when we did our check-in. The location is good and we could get around in Nurnberg conveniently. We booked a room with a washing machine and there are also laundry detergents provided. The room is spacious and the bed is comfortable.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful. The location was perfect - close to old town, the Documentation center, the Hall of Justice and many other things. They also offered day trips from the hotel. The staff was very helpful in knowing what tram lines to take if you wanted to take public transportation.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfortable. Extremely nice shower. We stayed there during the Christmas Market and the location was fabulous, less than 2 blocks from the Old Town. We rode the train there and the hotel was just a 12 minute walk from the train station. A very nice stay!
Good location directly in centre town, good size room, modern interior. Most of all, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Hotel provided parking tickets for the parking garage nearby for a reduced price.
Shops, town attractions, market stands, restaurants, and the charming old city centre itself are all within walking distance.
Spent three nights in this lovely hotel. Very handy location for main city centre and old town, as well as the station. Our host was super-efficient, warm and friendly. Breakfast was super with plenty of variety and the option of scrambled eggs if required. Very quiet, comfortable room. Would happily recommend.
Premier Inn is conveniently located and very good value for money. Comfortable rooms with all amenities you might need. This hotel was close to the subway station and 50m from the Aldi shopping center. Very close walk to the old town square. We had a lovely stay and will definitely stay again. Highly recommended!
The welcome is quite personal and the staff friendly. The room is large and clean with good heating. The breakfast is very good with a large choice (but no hot breakfast). The hotel is located at 10 minutes walk from the city centre and about 20 minutes from the main station.
The Franconia city hotel is in a great location in the city. The room was laid out beautifully and breakfast was wonderful. The owner provided great travel advice and our time in Nuremberg was my favorite stop in Germany.
Hotel Five is a 5 star hotel! The rooms are very clean, the personal is very professional and kind, the breakfast is very reach and tasteful. I shall stay again in Hotel Five when I will be in Nurnberg.
I love this hotel and always stay here when in Nuremberg. A nice walk through Old Town from the railroad station to reach the hotel. Central location. Excellent breakfast and dining room.
